The Ministry of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine announced in Facebook that the support of the Crimean bridge began to shift and sink. According to authorities, the experts allegedly found several critical areas.
In particular, the Ministry noted, in the area of artificial embankments on the part of the Crimean Peninsula recorded subsidence at a speed of from 52 to 89 millimeters per year, and in the Central part there is an increase of the arch rail. Ukrainian experts have discovered a displacement in the island of Tuzla.
“This demonstrates the instability of the seabed in places of installation of the supports and has a negative impact on the Black sea, can bear threat of life and health of people”, — said the Agency, adding that the winter weather can worsen the situation.
Crossing through the Kerch Strait was opened on may 15. Linking the Taman and Kerch bridge was the longest in Russia — 19 kilometers. Its construction cost the Federal budget at 228 billion rubles.
Crimea reunited with Russia following the March 2014 referendum in which the majority of inhabitants of the region have supported such a decision. Kiev refused to recognize the election results. In Moscow insist that the accession of the region conform to the norms of international law.
