Arrested in response to the Russian sanctions the ship left Ukraine

The ship Comet, who was arrested in early November in the port of Mariupol in response to the Russian sanctions, left Ukraine. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to data of the monitoring of the resource MarineTraffic.

The ship passed through the Bosphorus and is located in the Marmara sea.

On 1 November the public Prosecutor of Ukraine Yury Lutsenko reported about the detention in Mariupol port of the vessel, EN route from “Russian port” in Belgium. The freighter, according to Lutsenko, there were three thousand tons of production at Alchevsk metallurgical plant. Published by the Prosecutor photographs of the ship you could see the name “Comet”. The arrest was a response to the Russian sanctions against Ukraine.

However, as it became known to the media, the vessel belongs to a Dutch company, controlled by Singapore and sails under the flag of Liberia. Most of the crew — Ukrainians, the Russian was only one person on Board.

On 1 November, Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on the introduction of sanctions against 322 of Ukrainian citizens and 68 companies.
