Seniors who tried to commit suicide in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, were not a married couple but brother and sister. About it “lente.ru” said the son of an elderly man Sergey Ryabtsev.

He denied published media reports that older people tried to commit suicide because of loneliness and small pensions. According to him, they lived in a separate apartment, on the weekends they visited relatives, and during the week came the nurse.

“They had a normal pension, my wife helped pay the bills. Always a fridge full of groceries, no one starved, everyone has a separate bathroom, a TV, carpets. However, both were sick, didn’t go out with them always was the nurse. That day she came in the morning and saw them both lying at home, she called an ambulance,” — said Ryabtsev.

Before his father Alexey Ryabtsev and his aunt, Galina lived with their families in Khabarovsk Krai. Ten years ago, the old man became a widower, and he had a stroke that paralyzed the right side of the body. After that, Ryabtsev, Jr. decided to move him to Kamchatka and bought a one-bedroom apartment in the neighboring house.

“I moved my father and his sister, who after the death of her husband and daughter alone. Put them together, so they lived for ten years. Aunt Galya 83 years old, she has problem with pressure, it almost does not go, all the time repeating that tired, she was tired of living, right to the obsession of some sort. Then the father became more and more [to be] depressed, refused even crosswords, which I brought him on weekends,” — said the source “Tape.ru”.

Now the elderly people are in the ICU. Galina remains in a serious condition, her brother is recovering, he began to eat. Doctors say that the 78-year-old man has a chance to get better.

According to the source “Tape.ru” in law enforcement, seniors tried to commit suicide within a few days. On November 12 of them were hospitalized with poisoning in a hospital in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, where they are to this day, both diagnosed with organic brain damage.

14 Nov Kamchatka, the media reported that two pensioners have attempted suicide due to lack of money. The Deputy of legislative Assembly of Kamchatka Mikhail Puchkovsky told reporters that the husband and wife lived on a small pension and consciously decided to die one day.
