“Gazprom” has reduced investment in the construction of the pipeline “Nord stream-2” more than 22 billion rubles. It is reported by RBC with reference to the investment program of the company for the year 2018.
In the new edition of the program, the volume of investments in the “Nord stream-2” in 2018 has been reduced to 92.1 billion rubles, as against 114.5 billion rubles, laid down earlier.
The total investment will amount to 1.96 trillion rubles, which is 217 billion rubles more than was envisaged in the program approved in December 2017.
The increase in the budget “Gazprom” explained the increase in spending on priority projects in the field of transportation and liquefied natural gas (LNG). In particular, we are talking about the development of the gas transportation system in the North-West region of Russia and the construction of a complex for the production, storage and offloading of LNG in the area of the compressor station “Portovaya”.
Earlier head “Gazprom” Alexey Miller said that the project “Northern stream-2” is sure to be implemented, despite opposition from the United States.
The new pipeline will connect Russia and Germany. He will repeat the route of the existing Nord stream, with the exception of the territorial waters of Denmark, did not give permission to build. The project cost is estimated at € 10 billion to run the pipe is planned for the end of 2019.
