Taxes grew twice as fast as wages

In 2015 the amount of taxes paid in Russia increased almost twice as fast as wages, according to “Izvestia”, citing a study of “FinExpertiza”.

Analysts have studied the data of Rosstat and the Federal Treasury over a three-year period. During this time grew the most in transport, property and land taxes.

By the end of 2015, the Russians paid for him 176,24 billion, at the end of 2016 — 180,67 billion, at the end of 2017 225,18 billion.

For three years the amount of taxes collected increased by 28 percent. For most of this time has raised the property tax by 72 percent. Land tax increased by 25.4 percent. The transport tax for three years has increased by 16 percent.

Thus, according to Rosstat, the average monthly salary in 2015-2017 grew by only 15 percent to 39.17 thousand rubles.

In 2019, the expected increase in the tax burden in connection with the increase in the VAT rate from 18 percent to 20 percent. This, according to analysts, will provoke additional growth by 1 percentage point and will continue to put pressure on real disposable incomes.
