Half of the interviewed operators in Russia is expected in 2019 the increase in tariffs in the range of 10 percent. This is stated in the research of Agency TelecomDaily, which leads RIA Novosti.
The survey involved top managers of Federal and regional telecommunication companies in 15 cities of Russia. It is noted that the largest mobile operators – MTS, VimpelCom, Tele2 did not participate in the study. In “MegaFon” the results of the survey commented.
81 percent of respondents believe that next year prices will rise for services. More than half noted that the growth of tariffs for communication will be within 10 percent. 29 percent of respondents suggest that in 2019, the rates will rise by more than 10 percent.
Among the main risks of the company said that the increase from 1 January 2019 the VAT rate to 20 percent and implementing the requirements of the “Spring package”.
In a press-service “Vympelcom”, Tele2 and MegaFon have not commented on a possible increase of tariffs.
Earlier in September, it was reported that Telecom operators are preparing to provide regional operators with service data storage for the execution of the “law of Spring”. It is expected that this will allow us to recoup part of the cost of increased storage.
Anti-terrorist amendments, known as the “Spring law”, entered into force on 1 July. Mobile operators and Internet service providers must store all telephone conversations, text messages, images, audio, video, and other communications of users within half a year if it’s phone calls or SMS, and the Internet-messages — for 30 days.
