The former Governor of Khabarovsk territory Vyacheslav Shport said that he had signed the document granting large monthly surcharges to pension to member of a regional Council after threats. His words are quoted by the radio station “Moscow speaking” on Friday, November 23.
Shport said that Tatyana Movchan, who left the regional Duma on 2 July, threatened him with going to court. In the end, he adopted her a fee in the amount of 187 thousand rubles.
“I just wanted to deal with it. Indeed, a large amount. And already passed through someone else that she was there, began to threaten: “you go To the court, the man calculated, and retirement don’t sign”. Well, I took it and signed,” he said.
He said that first consult with lawyers, but they found no violation in the requirement of the former MP. In addition, the scandal broke three days prior to addition of their powers, and understand there was no time, said Shport.
“If I remained, then, may be, would understand it. Called her, talked to her, so she’s not hurricanes,” said he, adding that under local law, such payments are put to all members in retirement.
In September, Vyacheslav Shport (United Russia) lost the gubernatorial election, losing to the candidate from LDPR Sergey Furgal.
