“Incoming information suggests preparing a large-scale pressure to the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, its monasteries and churches”, — said the Deputy head sinodale of the Department for external relations of the Russian Orthodox Church Archpriest Nikolai Balashov.

Pochayiv Lavra — the largest Orthodox temple complex and monastery in the Western Ukraine and the second in Ukraine after Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, is located in the Ternopil region. To the jurisdiction of the UOC-MP complex was passed in 2008.
