In 2019, Russia may raise the price of gasoline. Such statement on air of TV channel Russia-1 was made by the head of the accounts Chamber Alexey Kudrin.
He said that this could be the result of the higher taxes. “Very carefully to behave with the excise tax on gasoline. New increase, of course, creates new risks,” he said.
After spike in gasoline prices, the government in November agreed with the fuel companies to freeze gasoline prices in the domestic market until March 2019. Until January, the average price of a liter of AI-92 gasoline in the wholesale market should not exceed 39,86 ruble, AI-95 — 42,77 rubles, diesel — 43,11 of the ruble.
In mid-November, the newspaper “Kommersant” reported that in the wholesale and retail segments of the fuel market, there are shortages of fuel. Independent companies that did not participate in the meeting with the government, noted that the major oil companies have dramatically changed the conditions of sale of gasoline in the domestic market, redistributing power in favor of their own networks of stations, which causes local shortages of fuel.
