UPRAVLENIE roskomnadzora filed an administrative case against Google. The representatives of the Ministry wrote on the official page in “Vkontakte”.
According to the regulator, the company is not connected to the Federal state information system that is required under Russian law to eliminate references to the resources with illegal content from search results.
“This fact constitutes an administrative offense under part 1 of article 13.40 of the administrative code of the Russian Federation”, — said the representative of Roskomnadzor. They also noted that the amount of the fine for Google can be from 500 to 700 thousand rubles. The proceedings in court will take place in December 2018.
Earlier it became known that the Russian officials intend to increase the size of fines for technology companies, which operate on the territory of Russia and refuse to comply with the requirements of local legislation. The new amendments should relate search services, instant messengers and online cinemas.
