The Dominican Republic abolished visas for Russians

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov and foreign Minister of the Dominican Republic Miguel Vargas signed an agreement on the abolition of visas with the Dominican Republic. About it reports TASS.

Lavrov noted that this step will have a positive impact on tourism development of the two countries, and human contacts in General. He also added that the Dominican Republic is one of the most popular among Russians directions: in 2017 it was attended by about 230 thousand Russians, which is 75 percent more than in 2016.

Lavrov also believes that the transaction will contribute to increase of tourist flow of Russians in the Dominican Republic, and Vice versa.

In June it was reported that Moscow and Beijing will sign an agreement on visa-free regime for tourists from both countries. The Deputy head of the Federal tourism Agency of Russia Nikolay Korolev said that China is interested in development of tourist flow in the Arctic regions of Russia, and soon the country will sign the final document.
