The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree, which amends the decision of the Council of national security and defense Council (NSDC) of the country in relation to the duration of martial law in the country. The message on it appeared on the website of the President.
The decree of the President of Ukraine №392/2018 approves the decision of the Council on amendments to a previous decision of the Council “On emergency measures for ensuring the state sovereignty and independence of Ukraine and the introduction of martial law in Ukraine.”
The decree States that the military situation began to operate from 14:00 (15:00 GMT) on 26 November and should be finished by 14:00 (15:00 GMT) on December 26. It does not specify, whether you enter the military situation in some regions of the country or on the territory of Ukraine.
In this companion “Gordon” in the administration of the President of Ukraine said that the decree Poroshenko on the introduction of martial law in the country’s regions bordering Russia and Transnistria (Vinnytsia, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Kherson, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya regions and inland waters of the Azov-Kerch water area), will be published in the newspaper “Uryadovy courier” on November 28. The military situation, he said, will operate on the territory of these regions at 14:00 (15:00 GMT) 28 November, “for which he was voted the deputies of [the Verkhovna Rada]”.

Earlier on November 27, in “the Governmental courier” has published the decree Poroshenko, stating that martial law is introduced for 60 days — the period for which Poroshenko insisted at first. Vice Prime Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine Ivanna klympush-Tsintsadze said that the message in “Governmental courier” was printed incorrectly. “Found out. Erroneously printed, the responsible will be disciplined. The announcement of the retraction will be printed. The decree canceled”, she said.
The Ukrainian authorities adopted a decision on the introduction of martial law in connection with the incident in the Kerch Strait. November 25, the border Department of the FSB detained three ships of naval forces of Ukraine, which entered the territorial waters of the Crimea and began to make dangerous maneuvers, ignoring the requirement to stop. Kiev considered it an act of aggression.
