Burjanadze promised to get along with Russia

The Chairman of the Georgian party “Democratic movement” Nino Burjanadze promised to establish contact with the leadership of Russia, radio station “Moscow Says”.

According to Burjanadze, she is preparing for parliamentary elections and wants to provide voters an alternative. The politician declined to give his party a Pro.

“I think their Pro-Georgian movement, but it also implies the improvement of relations with Russia, establishing direct contacts with Russian top management and establishing the problems that exist in Russian-Georgian relations”, — said Burjanadze.

In her opinion, the movement to NATO — not what you need in Georgia. “We need to develop relations with Russia. If someone wants to call it Pro-Russian force, let known,” said the leader of “Democratic movement”.

Burjanadze added that he refused to participate in presidential elections because it was clear that they “will be manipulated”. “We have no candidate who would speak about the need to improve relations with Russia”, — concluded the politician.

On 28 November in Georgia’s second round of presidential elections. Candidate Salome Zurabishvili, who won the first round, supporting the ruling party “Georgian dream”. Its competitor, Grigol Vashadze, nominated from the “United national movement”, whose leader is former President Mikhail Saakashvili.

Parliamentary elections in Georgia will be held in 2020.
