Graffiti with characters from the animated series “spongebob Squarepants” may appear in the capital. This was stated by the Chairman of the Commission of Moscow city Council on culture and mass communications Evgeny Gerasimov, reports the news Agency “Moscow”.
“To create graffiti with characters from this cartoon is quite an interesting idea. It is important, from whom we will be able to get this offer. It can come from the Union of artists, I think,” — quoted by the official Agency.
Gerasimov stressed that he personally supports the idea of accommodation in Moscow fixed image with Sponge Bob. He also expressed regret in connection with death of Stephen Hillenburg — author of the popular cartoon character. “I, of course, for the creation of graffiti in memory of the Creator of the cartoon about Sponge Bob. It is important to determine the location and take into account the opinion and wishes of the residents. We have a lot of different spaces where it is possible to represent,” added the official.
Stephen Hillenburg died at age 57 on 27 November 2018. Cause of death was amyotrophic lateral sclerosis that diagnosed him in March 2017.
Career animator Hillenburg began in 1987. In the period from 1993 to 1996, he worked in television as a Director and screenwriter show on Nickelodeon “New life Rocco”. The first episode of the animated series about Sponge Bob came on 1 may 1999. Currently the show has about 250 series. The show received numerous awards and has been translated into more than 60 languages.
