In the Nenets Autonomous district will be a new sea port of Indiga, reports “Interfax”.
Appropriate public-private project, along with the construction of the railway to the harbour, will cost investors 258 billion rubles. The largest portion of expenses (198 billion) will take over the state.
Through the Indiga on the Northern sea route is planned to export 50 million tons of Kuzbass coal and 20 million tons of other cargo.
Navigation here will be conducted year-round.
In September it was reported the first Chinese cargo ship Tian En, brought to Europe via the Northern sea route equipment for wind turbines. For the year in Arctic waters visited four ships from China. Each of them was accompanied by an icebreaker.
