Russian President Vladimir Putin for the first time commented on the incident between the Russian and Ukrainian ships in the Kerch Strait. His words leads TASS.

According to him, the incident was a provocation of the Ukrainian authorities and, perhaps, the President of Petro Poroshenko before the elections of the President. “Poroshenko is due to the low rating, you must create obstacles for competitors from the opposition,” — said the Russian leader.

“The incident in the Black sea there are signs of a pre-prepared provocation, an excuse to impose martial law in Ukraine”, — quotes the President RIA Novosti. “Even after the annexation of Crimea to Russia and the conflict in the Donbass military situation in Ukraine are not introduced, and now only a small incident,” — said Putin. Speaking about the actions of Russian border guards in the Strait, he stressed that they were doing their job protecting the border.

November 25 in the area of Kerch Strait Russia’s FSB detained three ships of naval forces of Ukraine. After crossing the Russian border, they began to make dangerous maneuvers. To the warnings of border guards, the Ukrainian sailors did not respond. Kiev indicated that the incident may lead to large-scale fighting. In some regions of the country imposed martial law.
