Prosecutors withdrew from school No. 115 in Yekaterinburg 17 children’s posters. They made copies of the images to conduct the examination. The press service of the Sverdlovsk Prosecutor’s office refused to comment.
City hall officials did not agree with the Prosecutor’s office in its evaluation of the school exhibitions. “The drawings reflect the human values: friendship, respect, understanding and acceptance of the values and attitudes of other people. Some of the works depicted a rainbow — the symbol of purity, of childhood, of friendship, symbolizing the unity of the peoples of different nationalities”, — quotes the portal quote city hall.
The city administration sent to the school psychologists of the Ekaterinburg centre “Dialogue”. Authorities claim that children’s drawings was not promoted traditional family values, however, the “if necessary” experts, children and parents raising advice.
November 28 it became known that the students painted posters with the representatives of sexual minorities. One of the contestants portrayed the representatives of three different races and three pairs of people: two men, two women and a man with a woman and signed it “We cannot choose the appearance, orientation, race. We are all unique in their own way” .On many posters the children drew a rainbow which is a symbol of the LGBT movement.
