Reggae recognized cultural heritage

UNESCO introduced reggae to the list of masterpieces of the oral and intangible cultural heritage of humanity. On Friday, November 29, reported the Twitter account of the organization.

“Urgent: Jamaican reggae music have just been included in the list of intangible cultural heritage! Congratulations!” — stated in the message.

Musical direction was formed in Jamaica in the 1960-ies. The most famous performer of reggae is Bob Marley.

Earlier in the list of intangible heritage of UNESCO was introduced Belgian beer, rice and yoga.
