German Chancellor Angela Merkel flew to the G20 summit in Buenos Aires on a regular flight. Due to a technical fault of the government, the aircraft had to make an emergency landing shortly after departure from Berlin.
According to the BBC, in Cologne, Merkel was going to transfer to a backup plane, but this was not possible due to difficulties with the coordination of schedules of other government aircraft. On Friday morning the German Chancellor and her delegation flew to Madrid, where it boarded a regular scheduled flight to Buenos Aires.
Passengers of a public aircraft filmed flying with them Angela Merkel.
