The government will review the quota on foreign labor for 2019 upward, said Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, Interfax reports.
“We assert the performance is in the economy attracting foreign workers to meet the demand of employers for skilled employees and ensure the implementation of major investment projects, particularly in the energy sector”, — said Golikova.
As an example of a project which can be employed migrants, she led the construction of the pipeline “Nord stream-2”.
Compared to the year 2018, the quota for foreign skilled labor will increase by three percent — from 140,4 thousand to of 144.6 thousand people. Currently, the Russian market demand for migrant workers exceeds supply, said Deputy Prime Minister.
