Ukraine urged to stop Russian vessels in foreign waters

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman called for tougher sanctions foreign country against Russia in connection with the incident in the Kerch Strait. He said this on his page in Facebook after a meeting with Polish foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz.

Groisman expressed hope that Ukraine’s partners after the incident in the Kerch Strait will support the mirror measures against Russia. “If Russian troops stop the ships in the Kerch Strait, and Russian ships have to stop in the waters of other countries”, — he wrote.

The Prime Minister also added that after the completion of the “Nord stream-2”, Russia “to blackmail Europe” in the same way as previously done it with Ukraine.

On 25 November in the territorial waters of the Crimea near the Kerch Strait border patrol of the FSB of Russia detained three ships of the Ukrainian Navy. Kiev perceived this as “an act of military aggression”, Moscow has declared its violation of Ukrainian sailors of the Russian state border. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has imposed a state of martial law.
