Two Ukrainian sailors and one officer of the security Service of Ukraine (SBU) who were detained after the incident in the Kerch Strait, on the mend. On Saturday, December 1, RIA Novosti said the Commissioner for human rights in Russia Tatiana Moskalkova.
According to the Ombudsman, three received shrapnel wounds are in the medical unit of Matrosskaya Tishina. “All three of them get up, move around the house receive the necessary food, medicines. No one is in intensive care now. Three today was another ligation” she explained.
Moskalkova noted that other detainees sailors placed in jail “Lefortovo” under international law: everyone has his own bed, gets a hot meal and also has the right to legal counsel. The Ombudsman said that complaints in terms of content from any of the sailors was submitted.
November 30 it became known that 24 of the Ukrainian military sailor, detained in the Kerch Strait and taken into custody of the Kiev district court of Simferopol, was transferred to Moscow. The source said that all those arrested were brought to the Russian capital a day earlier.
The incident in the Kerch Strait took place on 25 November. Border Department of the FSB detained three Ukrainian ships that crossed the Russian border, has not responded to the requirement to stop and started to do dangerous maneuvers. In Kiev, the arrest of ships was considered “an act of military aggression”. Moscow said about the violation of Ukrainian sailors of the Russian state border. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko introduced in some areas of the country martial law, and established restrictions on entry to the country for Russian men.
