The mayoralty of Barnaul has started the procedure of transfer of the building of the planetarium in the property of the Russian Orthodox Church. About it reports “News Altai”.
Clarifies that a request to return the building of the Barnaul diocese filed in 2012. In March 2019 the object will be transferred to the ROC. The planetarium needs to leave the building until the end of December, with a new scientific institution yet.
Star house in Barnaul is located in the Holy cross Church closed in 1939. “The temple must be the temple. There is, of course, must be restored worship,” — said the Secretary of the Barnaul diocese, Archpriest George Craydon.
Church representatives said it was ready to dialogue with the city authorities, despite the tight deadlines of the plan for the transfer of ownership.
At the moment in Barnaul has 19 churches and cathedrals.
November 30 it became known that the Metropolitan of St. Petersburg and Ladoga Varsonofy asked the acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov to pass the Alexander Nevsky monastery building, which belongs to the Museum of urban sculpture
Earlier in the Russian Orthodox Church has planned a large-scale reconstruction of the city of Sergiev Posad in Moscow region. The plan of construction works involves the construction of the Synodal institutions in the place of the Soviet city administration building and the demolition of other buildings of the Soviet era.
