Kyiv has reacted to Russian Sevastopol in the Guinness Book of records

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine responded to the mention of Sevastopol as part of Russia in one of the certificates of the Guinness Book of records. The position of foreign Minister in his Twitter expressed press Secretary of the Ministry Ekaterina Zelenko.

“Working on correcting the wrong designation of the temporarily occupied Sevastopol in the Guinness Book of records. The Crimea is Ukraine. Records must be honest,” she said.

Earlier, the Ukrainian edition of “Gromadske” drew attention to the fact that published on the website of the Guinness Book of records certificate reads about the world record, established in Sevastopol, named as a part of Russia. The document, issued may 26, 2018, reported that the citizen of Belarus Alexander Bendikov set a world record for the balancing of nails after, was able to cap a single nail to build the design from 349 nails.

Crimea became part of Russia following a referendum in March 2014. The Ukrainian government and most of the world, including USA, does not recognize its results. Moscow stressed that the vote has passed with observance of all international norms.
