Permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in Crimea Borys Babin dismissed. The corresponding order was signed by the Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko.
“The release of Babin, Boris Vladimirovich from his post of permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, according to his application,” – said in the decree. The document is dated 2 Nov.
Borys Babin was appointed to the position of representative in the Crimea from August 2017. Previously, he was head of the Department of administrative and criminal law at Odessa national Maritime Academy. He also held the post of the government Commissioner for European court of human rights.
Crimea became part of Russia following a referendum in March 2014. The Ukrainian government and most of the world, including USA, does not recognize its results. Moscow stressed that the vote has passed with observance of all international norms.
