Soyuz MS first started after the accident

The carrier rocket “Soyuz-FG” with transport manned spacecraft “Soyuz MS-11” was launched after the accident. About it reports “Roscosmos”.

The launch took place on 3 Dec at 14:31 Moscow time from the launch complex of the platform № 1 “Gagarin’s start” Baikonur cosmodrome. The composition of the main crew of expedition ISS-58/59 includes cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, astronauts David Saint-Jacques and Anne McClain.

Docking of “Soyuz MS-11” with ISS berthing scheduled to take place in six hours (for short the scheme).

During the expedition 58/59 the ISS will, in particular, the EVAs and cargo ships, maintenance of the onboard systems of the station, onboard photographic and video recordings.

During the flight of “Soyuz-FG” with “Soyuz MS-10”, which started on 11 October from the Baikonur cosmodrome to the ISS, at 123 seconds occurred emergency shutdown of engines of the second stage of the rocket. Were in the ship cosmonaut of the Roscosmos Alexei Ovchinin and NASA astronaut Tyler Hague, Nicholas used the recovery system, through which the crew made an emergency landing in the descent capsule of the spaceship. After the incident, manned launches to the ISS were suspended.

Later it became known that the “Soyuz-FG” was damaged during Assembly at Baikonur.
