Several hundred members and officials of the Tver region took a trip to Moscow by train, to attend Church, dedicated to the 700th anniversary of the death of Prince Mikhail of Tver. To do this, they identified a separate train “Swallow”, said the radio station “Moscow Says”.
Deputy Chairman of the government of the Tver region Andrey Belotserkovsky said that the money for the trip was taken not from the budget. He said that funds were provided by sponsors, but he did not name them. The train, he said, left early in the morning, all of the trains, and the head of the region came to the event separately.
Belotserkovsky said that the visit of the Liturgy were not of a mandatory order. “No no compulsion. Not everyone could get in,” he said.
