North Korea has strengthened basic missile base long-range, located in a mountainous area of the country, despite the obligations under the denuclearization of the Peninsula. This is evidenced by satellite images obtained by CNN.
The images confirm that the base Yeongjeo-dong remains active and constantly modernizarea. In addition, the photographs were discovered new, previously unreported nuclear site. The pictures also showed that in 2017, North Korea began in the area the construction of an extremely large underground facility, which continued after negotiations on the denuclearization of the Peninsula and U.S. President Donald trump in June 2018.
American authorities said that they are not surprised by such findings. Advisor to the President for national security John Bolton noted that trump is going to hold a second summit with Kim Jong-UN as North Korean leader has not fulfilled the commitments it made at the first meeting. According to Bolton, the meeting is scheduled for January or February of 2019.
North Korea repeatedly suspected of violating the agreement on the elimination of nuclear weapons. So, in August it was discovered that the DPRK continued to disassemble the polygon Sohe, which launched an Intercontinental ballistic missile, but left the nuclear facilities.
The meeting of U.S. President Donald trump with the North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN was held in Singapore on June 12. During the negotiations there was signed a document by which Washington offered Pyongyang security guarantees and North Korea undertakes commitments on denuclearization.
