Human rights activist Lev Ponomarev was sentenced by the Tver court of Moscow to 25 days of arrest for the post with a call to come to the rally in support of the defendants “Penza things” and the “New greatness”. The court found the 77-year-old human rights activist guilty of a second violation of order of promotion (part 8 of article 20.2 of the administrative code).
The lawyer Oleg Ponomarev Elanchik called the case against his client is politically motivated and found it “fatal violations”. According to the second lawyer, Irina Yatsenko, human rights are not writing the post with a call and did repost the entry from the website of “echo of Moscow”, which was not the signature of the author. She added that Ponomarev was trying to coordinate action and to notify it of power.
