Russian President Vladimir Putin and Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro Wednesday, December 5, during a personal meeting to discuss financial aid to Venezuela, RIA Novosti reported the press Secretary of Putin, Dmitry Peskov.
“You know that the situation [in Venezuela] is still in the economic sphere remains difficult, although modest, but the signs of improvement is still established. In this regard, we will focus on the assistance that is necessary to the Venezuelan government”, — said Peskov.
According to him, Maduro arrived in Moscow to negotiate for additional appropriations. Peskov added that the financial help yet, but it should determine during the meeting.
It is known that in 2017 Venezuela Russia delayed the payment of one billion dollars on the loan in the framework of military-technical cooperation. In November, the parties agreed to postpone debt repayments until 2027.
