The State Corporation “The House.of the Russian Federation” jointly with the Bank of Russia will develop the new standards of mortgage lending, providing, in particular, the possibility of reducing payments for a period of six months to a year. About it reports “Interfax”.
“Standards, in particular, provides for the change in credit conditions in the restructuring in case of financial difficulties of the borrower in the interest of the lender and the borrower. Including changing the size of mortgage payments for the period to restore the solvency of the borrower for a period from 6 to 12 months”, — told the news Agency the representative of “the House.of the Russian Federation,” adding that the decrease will amount to 50 per cent of the monthly payment or more.
The final version of the document will be submitted by the beginning of 2019, said the Corporation, noting that the new standards will be Advisory in nature for banks.
Previously, the need to develop measures to help subprime borrowers who have lost work or temporarily incapacitated, said the first Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Sergey Shvetsov. “We have suggested that the standard mortgage included an option for a citizen to waive payments on a mortgage loan”, — the official told.
