Ukrainian sailors arrested after the incident in the Kerch Strait, will remain in custody until his trial. This was stated by Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, reports the correspondent of”.ru”.
“When will the result be a trial. As soon as the trial ends (…), then we can talk about how their destiny is to alleviate or to agree on any concrete steps,” he said at a press conference following the meeting of the Council of foreign Ministers of the OSCE.
Lavrov said that now the sailors visited the Commissioner for human rights in Russia Tatiana Moskalkova. He added that their health is not threatened.
The incident in the Kerch Strait took place on 25 November. Border Department of the FSB detained three Ukrainian military ship after they crossed the Russian border and has not responded to the requirement to stop.
