US President, Donald trump has decided to appoint the head of the press service of the Department of state Heather Nauert permanent representative to the UN after the departure of the current Ambassador, Nikki Haley. It is reported Bloomberg.
Citing an anonymous source familiar with the situation, the Agency reports that Nauert agreed to take a position, and this will soon be announced officially .
48-year-old Nauert holds the post of representative of the state departrment USA from April 2017. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter and anchor on Fox News Channel.
US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley in October 2018 announced his resignation Jan 2019. She worked in this position from January 2017. Previously, she served as Governor of South Carolina.
Immediately after this, Donald trump said his daughter Ivanka are well suited for the role of U.S. permanent representative to the UN, but he won’t consider her as a candidate to avoid charges of nepotism.
