Poroshenko told about the incorruptible Constantinople

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has rejected charges in corruption of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, in particular, Patriarch Bartholomew. He stated this in an interview with Ta Nea.

According to Poroshenko, “in the world there is no money that could buy these people”, as Bartholomew. He noted that because of this, the Kremlin is trying to distort the motives of the Patriarch.

The Ukrainian leader expressed the opinion that Bartholomew “should be considered a co-founder of the new Ukraine”.

15 December, Kyiv hosted the unity Cathedral Church structures, initiated by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. It was accepted the decision on creation of new local Orthodox Church of Ukraine (PCU). He topped the structure of Metropolitan Epiphanios.
