The authorities in Gabon have suppressed the attempted coup organised by a group of senior military, the Associated Press reports.
According to the Agency, the government forces controlling the capital, Libreville, used tear gas to disperse around 300 demonstrators who took to the streets at the call of the organizers of the coup.
