Ukraine filed a complaint with the European court of human rights (ECHR) regarding the incident in the Kerch Strait, where in late November, three Ukrainian warships, was arrested for violation of the Ukrainian border. About this Facebook said Commissioner for the ECHR Ivan Lyschina.
“The government of Ukraine has fulfilled the Court’s instructions and filed January 7, 2019 full statement on #55855/18,” wrote Lyschina.
According to him, Ukraine needs to recognize the illegal detention and subsequent arrest of 22 sailors and two officers of the security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
Earlier, Moscow had informed the ECHR about the place and conditions of detention, and the absence of complaints from them.
The conflict in the Kerch Strait took place on 25 November. Three Ukrainian warships entered the territorial waters of Russia, which is considered their actions are dangerous maneuvering. Ship with a cross on them crew members and SBU were detained, subsequently, the court held them to 25 January 2019. Moscow believes their actions are a planned provocation.
