Another brand humiliated the Chinese

British luxury clothing manufacturer Burberry has released a “creepy” ad campaign on the eve of the Chinese New year which is celebrated in the country on 5 February. It is reported by CNBC.

In the picture in the style of a family portrait captured eight whites models of different ages on a gray background and clothing brand. According to information on the official website of Burberry advertising photography is dedicated to “family reunification and chanting traditions during the festival.” However, none of the “family members” in this portrait not smiling.

The Christmas campaign has caused a negative reaction from the Chinese. Some users of Chinese platforms Sina Weibo attributed to the models the similarity with the characters of a horror movie, and others decided that “the unhappy family”, reflects the economy of China.

In November 2018, China’s largest online retailers has removed from its range of products of the Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana because of the rudeness of one of its founders, designer Stefano Gabbana. In social networks, the designer has called China the “land of shit” and the Chinese “ignorant filthy stinking mob”.
