Nationalist Alexander Potkin (Belova) was taken to the Moscow regional court in a Bathrobe. This is stated on his Twitter page.

The nationalist was accused of legalization of the assets of BTA-Bank. This charge was taken from him by the Moscow city court on 14 April 2017 and a criminal case in this episode was returned to the Prosecutor for elimination of violations.
In this regard, Potkin reduced the sentence from 7.5 to 3.5 years for extremism, associated with the destabilization of the situation in Kazakhstan. But it is not sent to the colony to serve the sentence, but left in Moscow under house arrest for the period of investigation in the episode concerning the legalization of the assets of BTA-Bank.
According to the investigation, from 2012 to 2014 the former leader of the Movement against illegal immigration (DPNI) participated in the preparation of the action “Angry Kazakh”, in the framework of which on the territory of Kyrgyzstan participated in trainings, learning the “color revolutions”. In court the Prosecutor said that Potkin was meant to prepare the youth to destabilize the situation in Kazakhstan. To do this, the nationalists were shown to representatives of the Cossacks of the Republic video of the may 2012 events on Bolotnaya square in Moscow. Potkin, as argued by the Prosecutor, had planned to hold a similar rally in Kazakhstan. Nationalist orders received from the former owner of BTA Bank Mukhtar Ablyazov.
According to the investigation, Potkin, on behalf of Ablyazov several years operated illegally derived from the financial structure of assets, which was interpreted as the legalization of property obtained by criminal means.
