Russian satellite missile warning burned in the atmosphere

Russian spacecraft “Cosmos-2430” system of missile attack warning “the Eye”, launched in 2007, fell from orbit and burned up in the atmosphere. It is reported TASS with reference to data Command aerospace defense of North America.

It is noted that the satellite stopped its orbital existence on 5 January.

“Cosmos-2430” was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome carrier rocket “Lightning-M”. The device was supposed to track launches of Intercontinental ballistic missiles from the United States. It is assumed that communication with the satellite was lost in 2012-2014 due to the fact that the device has worn out.
