Toll the M11 motorway between Moscow and St. Petersburg in the daytime has become more expensive from January 9, according to “Kommersant” with reference to the North-West concession company.
The largest price increase was recorded in the area from MKAD to the Moscow region Solnechnogorsk — 100 rubles. In several other areas the fare is increased from 10 to 50 rubles. However, in some areas travel cheaper, for example, between Sheremetyevo-1 and Sheremetyevo-2 — 50 rubles. Night tariffs remained unchanged.
The price increase is due to the VAT rise to 20 per cent and inflation, the newspaper said.
In January 2016, Russian President Vladimir Putin, the newspaper reminds, expressed outrage over the price of travel to M11. In particular, the head of state said that “no one goes there — did you get prices so that it is impossible to pass”.
