Chaika asked at times to raise the salaries of prosecutors

Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika has proposed to raise the salaries of prosecutors. On Friday, January 11, according to “Izvestia”.

According to the newspaper, the Seagull has addressed to Dmitry Medvedev with the proposal to equalize the salaries of prosecutors and judges. If his initiative is approved, the income of employees of employees of Supervisory agencies to increase two to three times their monthly salary will amount to 170 thousand rubles.

In his speech the attorney General referred to the experience of foreign countries in which prosecutors and judges have equal rights. He also noted that dissatisfied with the Investigative Committee, whose members require the passions of their salaries to the level of prosecution.

In November 2018, it became known about resignation of the Deputy Russian Prosecutor General Alexander Gutan. In October resigned, another Deputy Ivan Semchishin, and died third — Saak Karapetyan. It was reported that Gutan could become the presidential envoy to the northwestern Federal district (NWFD), and Semchishin decided to leave the Supervisory authority on their own for years of service.
