In Chechnya freed about 20 buyers and sellers of alcoholic beverages arrested in New year’s eve in the “anti-alcohol RAID”. On Friday, January 11, reports the “Caucasian Knot”.
According to locals, security forces have tightened control over sale of alcoholic beverages in the region and began to inspect and detain citizens at points of sale. “Everyone who was detained on 31 December for the purchase or sale of alcohol at home, released”, — said the interlocutor of the edition, adding that the detainees held a preventive conversation, and also ordered them to pay a fine.
It is reported that under the special control in the region is the hypermarket “Lenta” is the only point where officially permitted the sale of alcohol in Chechnya. “For the New year several cars with employees constantly on the territory of the shopping center. Local and without it are afraid to buy alcohol in “Tape”, knowing that it is for them to turn around,” explained groznenets.
At the same time, according to him, the sale of alcohol at home is illegal and provides for a fine in the amount from 50 to 80 thousand roubles, or punished with hard labor for a period of one year.
The sale of alcoholic beverages in Chechnya was limited in December 2017 in the framework alcohol policy in the region. After this, the Republic began the so-called anti-alcohol raids in which security forces detained Chechens in the points of its implementation, while not disturbing drinks to servicemen and representatives of other regions.
