The Russian government economists made a list of recommendations for the stabilization of the economic situation in Venezuela, says The Bell.
It is reported that a delegation of Russian officials led by Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Storchak visited Caracas in November 2018. The publication reviewed the list of proposed measures is its authenticity confirmed by the Federal official.
In particular, the Russian economists propose to introduce an unconditional basic income for Venezuelan households. In addition, it is proposed to turn off the printing press, thereby stopping the financing of the budget deficit due to the issue.
In addition, Venezuela suggest to implement tax reform by the example of Russia, with an emphasis on indirect taxes instead of direct taxes. Another suggestion is the increase in oil production capacity and maximum export diversification.
