Conor McGregor and Habib, Nurmagomedova: USA Today Sports
Irish fighter of the mixed style Conor McGregor in his Instagram account told me what he was talking about the champion of the ultimate fighting championship (UFC) Habib Nurmagomedov during their duel.
McGregor released a video urging American boxer Paul Malignaggi to stop complaining. “The same thing I told Habib at the end of the third round. Stop complaining! Every time he spoke to the judge. Even in the fourth round,” added the fighter.
According to the Irish, it knocked him off balance as he had more reasons to go to the judge than the opponent. “I had to turn to the referee in the first round. Habib was holding my legs for four minutes in a row. With zero activity,” he said.
Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor in the night of October 7, 2018 at UFC 229. After the victory he climbed out of the octagon and attacked a sparring partner, rival Dillon Denis. The result was a brawl involving athletes, coaches and the police. Currently Nurmagomedov and McGregor suspended.
