The ninth national day of protest “yellow jackets” in France was arrested 240 people. About it reports TASS.
According to the calculations of the Prefecture of police of Paris, in the protests across the country took part 84 thousand people. Detained 240 people, of whom 200 are in custody. In Paris of the 156 detainees in custody are 74 people.
Protests were held in Paris, Marseille, Strasbourg, Lyon, Lille, Toulouse and Bordeaux. It is noted that in some cities there were clashes of protesters with police.
The riots in France are continuing since mid-October. The discontent of inhabitants of the country brought news of the tax increase on gasoline. On 4 December Prime Minister of France édouard Philippe stated that the tariff increase introduced a moratorium, but unrest continued. Later began mass arrests of protesters. 10 Dec macron announced on emergency economic and social situation in the country and announced economic measures.
