The international biathlon Union (IBU) has decided to cancel the last two races on the world Cup stage on biathlon in Canada because of the severe frosts. This was reported in Twitter account organizations.

10 Feb should have been held on women’s and men’s sprint competitions. For a half hour before the first race, the air temperature in the canadian Canmore was minus 26 degrees. According to the IBU rules the race canceled at temperatures below 20 degrees below zero.

In Canada had to go through three races for women and men: individual, relay and mass start. However, the Russian biathlon Union changed the program due to the weather. Individual races were held at short distances, and mass starts were replaced by the sprints. Due to the cancellation of the last stage in Canmore ended prematurely.

The seventh stage has brought the Russian biathlon two medals: Alexander Loginov was the third in individual race, another bronze was won by the Russian men’s team in the relay. From Canada athletes will travel to salt lake city, where from 14 to 18 February, will host the next world Cup.
