In 2017, the line of demarcation in the Donbass have crossed more than 11 million people. This was reported by Ukrainian Ministry of the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons.
According to authorities, the border between the self-proclaimed Donetsk (DPR) and Luhansk (LPR) people’s republics and Kiev-controlled territory in the past year has crossed 11 million 331 thousand 600 people. The administrative border with Russian Crimea in 2017 crossed 2 million 513 thousand 300 people. The greatest workload at the checkpoints was observed in August. In the last month of summer the line of demarcation in the Donbass crossed the 1 million 188 thousand people, the border with the Crimea — almost 360 thousand people.
As of 1 January 2017, in Ukraine lived 42 million 418 thousand 200 people. Thus, the territory of the DNI and LC for the year was visited by more than 25 percent of the population of Ukraine, notes “Strenia”.
