In St. Petersburg will open the exhibition “Jeans as a cult”, which will show the pants and jacket well-known Russian musicians and actors. On Friday, January 12, reports the portal eg.ru.
The exhibition will be held in the Kazan Museum of Sotsbyt. Its Director Rustem Valiakhmetov told that the exposition will include more than 500 pairs of pants with autographs. “A few years going around the world jeans are musicians, artists, writers, politicians — the people who make the history of our country,” he said.
The exhibition will show jeans musicians Andrei Makarevich, Sergei Shnurov, Evgeny Margulis, Diana Arbenina and Alexander Rosenbaum. A particularly important exhibit, according to Valiakhmetova, will be the jacket of Joseph Brodsky.
“She did a complicated way from America, where the poet was for many years in exile. Brodsky published in new York verses by Yuri Kublanovsky. And with someone from friends gave him a home of his worn denim jacket. (…) In the late 70s, the jury gave the relic to a friend — writer Evgeny Popov. He brought her to the Museum,” said Fazyl Abdullovich Valiahmetov.
A large part of the pants that will be presented, released the brands Wrangler, Levi’s and Lee.
