Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said that the problem of corruption in the country is used by enemies of the state to destabilize the internal situation. He told the Georgian version of the Forbes magazine an interview in the Russian language publishes Depo.ua.

“I believe that many of our enemies are interested in destabilizing Ukraine and they always highlight the problem of corruption in our country. They keep saying that corruption is very common. And they do it everywhere, including abroad”, — he said.

Groisman also told that from time to time faced with the problem of corruption and considers it exaggerated. He believes that information about corruption in the country highlights “in the most negative light, to the Ukraine, with its population of 40 million people look bad.”

Also Groysman assured that a significant number of areas of corruption has been defeated. “Annually through public procurement was carried out at approximately $ 10 billion, which are carried out with the help of highly suspicious programs. We commissioned one fully transparent system which, in my opinion, is one of the best in Europe. We completely destroyed the corruption factor through online procurement,” — said Ukrainian Prime Minister.

In this case, Groisman has recognized that corruption still exists in law enforcement, the courts, the authorities issuing permits and licences, as well as in public institutions providing various services. “It is therefore extremely important to ensure a successful privatization. In the framework of the ongoing reforms last fall, we introduced the necessary legislation on privatization. This means that it will create a kind of transparent system,” he added.

In November, the permanent representative of the International monetary Fund in Kiev Jost Longman said that Ukraine annually loses up to two percent of GDP due to corruption. According to him, corruption is a matter not only of justice, but also the economy.
