Taxes is 65 percent of the final price of one liter of gasoline in Russia. On Tuesday, 23 January, reported the Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS).
Developed by the Ministry of Finance changes to the Tax code led to the growth of excise rates from January 1 gasoline grade 5 6.4 per cent, on diesel fuel of all grades was 8.4 percent. From July 1 excise tax increase, respectively, 6 and 7.7 percent, said the FAS. In 2019-2020 fees will increase by another 3.4-3.6 percent per year.
Also over the past three years has significantly raised the tax on mineral extraction (met): 2015 — by 55.4%, from 2016 — 11.8, 2017 7.2. From 1 January 2018 has been similar to last year’s increase in the severance tax.
In addition, the Antimonopoly service has listed the factors that affect the cost of gasoline. Among them, the increase in seasonal demand for oil products, increasing industry costs, repairs of refineries, dynamics of production of petroleum products and so on.
In November 2017, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a law according to which the excise tax on gasoline in the years 2018-2022 will be indexed.
According to Rosstat, last year gasoline prices rose by 7.3 per cent, which is almost three times higher than the officially announced inflation at 2.5 percent.
